India is becoming an increasingly important and more interesting market for Made in Italyespecially for some sectors. Among these, that of food processing: in fact, although India is one of the largest producers of vegetables, fruit and milk in the world, it has a reduced capacity to transform and preserve this type of product and requires investments in infrastructure connected to the cold chain and food processing plants. For our companies, world leader in the sector, the opportunities to be seized in India are enormous, also considering the strong growth of the local agri-food products market.
In this regard, theParma Union of Industrialists, in collaboration with theIndian Embassy in Italy, he arranged a meeting “Food Processing Industry Opportunities in India”, with the purpose of provide member companies with useful information to better understand the Indian world and the present business opportunities. The event, which will take place Wednesday 4 October 2017 in Parma at 10.00, at the headquarters of the Parma Industrial Union (Palazzo Soragna, located in Strada al Ponte Caprazucca, 6/A), will be attended by the Ambassador of India in Italy, Reenat Sandhu, and the Vice-Ambassador, Gloria Gangte.
Octagona, present in India for 15 years through direct offices (New Delhi, Bangalore and Pune), will provide its contribution within the event, testifying to its role as a point of reference for internationalization processes on the Indian market. In particular, Alessandro Fichera and Enrico Perego, respectively Managing Director and Senior Partner of Octagona, they will carry out their interventions focusing on business and investment opportunities for Made in Italy and onevolution and development of AgroParks in India.
