L'Iran, with a population of nearly 80 million, is the second economy, after Saudi Arabia, in the Middle East and North Africa region. The removal of sanctions against Iran, dating back to last January, is leading to a progressive return of the country to free exchange of trade and investment with foreign countries: not surprisingly, the World Bank forecasts for Iran an economic growth of +5.8% in 2016 and +6.7% in 2017.
It is estimated that these growth prospects will lead to a increase in Italian exports in the country of almost 3 billion Euros over the next 4 years and a significant increase in investments.
Just with the aim of increase trade relations between Italy and Iran and illustrate the opportunities for commercial and investment collaboration between the two countries, Confindustria Emilia-Romagna, in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Italian-Iranian Chamber and BPER Banca, organized the meeting “Trade and investment relations with Iran. The case of Emilia-Romagna". The event will take place at Bologna on Thursday June 16th at the headquarters of Confindustria Emilia-Romagna (via Barberia 13).
The meeting provides speeches and testimonials from market experts and representatives of Emilia-Romagna companies operating in Iran. To view the plan business suit Click here.
Octagona, a company that has been involved in corporate internationalization for 15 years, through its own structures in Italy, India, Vietnam and Brazil and a series of collaborations in Europe, North America, the Middle East, North Africa and the Far East, will participate in the event.
