Emilia-Romagna Region tender for the support of internationalization projects

 

The April 27th will open the Call for tenders for the support of internationalization projects of SMEs, Consortia and Associations of SMEs of the Emilia-Romagna Region. The objective is to improve competitiveness and promote the export of local businesses to global markets, through a non-repayable contribution of the 50% of eligible expenses

Through this facility, companies in the Region will be able to access an important contribution that can bring new value to their exports: below are all the details on who can apply, what the eligible expenses are, what the maximum amount is and how do to submit the application.

 

 

Who can apply

 

They can apply to the Call of the Emilia-Romagna Region i legal entities based in the Region and with micro, small and medium-sized economic activities and Consortia. The economic subjects can participate individually or in aggregate in temporary associations of enterprises or purpose (ATI or ATS) or networks of enterprises or consortia.

 

Eligible interventions and financeable activities

 

The interventions for which it is possible to request contributions must be aimed at creating internationalization paths and which make use of consultancy, participation in fairs or promotional events in the target countries, digital marketing actions and the creation of promotional material.

The projects must necessarily include consultancy-type interventions (a, b, d). In detail, only the following types of expenses are eligible:

  • Consulting aimed at improving the beneficiary's potential through analysis and guidance services; preparation of a digital export plan; preparation of a development plan on the target markets of the project (mere market studies are excluded);
  • Development of internal skills through the beneficiary's use of a Temporary Export Manager (TEM) or Digital Export Manager (DEM);
  • Implementation of digital marketing campaigns or digital showcases in foreign languages, site promotion through SEO, SEM or other similar methodologiesincluding monitoring and reporting of results;
  • Consulting and training for the use of platforms/ marketplaces/ international smart payment systems;
  • Creation of videos, catalogues, directories, leaflets and other materials (including digital) written in a language other than Italian, for a maximum value of €3,000;
  • Participation by the beneficiary at fairs abroad or in Italy, in this case only at trade fairs with international qualification, held in person or virtually. – In the case of fairs in attendance, the following costs will be admitted: space rental, set-up rental (including stand design costs), space management, transport of goods on display and insurance of the same, hiring of hostesses/interpreters. – In the case of virtual fairs, the following costs will be admitted: registration for the fair and related services, onerous agreements with media partners, shipping costs of samples;
  • Participation by the beneficiary in promotional events, business meetings, B2B in physical or virtual form, collective and at an international level, organized by third parties with proven experience in the international context. This category includes consultancy costs aimed at organizing business meetings (B2B) and the costs for renting spaces for their organization and implementation. The eligible expenditure items for B2B and events are the same as those listed for international fairs;
  • General costs for project definition and management, including staff training to acquire the new skills required as a result of the implementation of the internationalization project. This expense is recognized by applying a flat rate of 7% of the sum of the expense items indicated in letters a) to g);
  • Exclusively for aggregations (ATI/ATS and business networks) and for consortia, personnel costs for project management and coordination.

 

Type and entity of the contribution

 

The regional contribution will be granted on a non-repayable basis to the extent of 50% of the expenses deemed eligible. However, the regional contribution cannot exceed:

  • the value of €60,000.00 for single participants;
  • the value of €150,000.00 for ATI/ATS, Networks and Consortia.

EC Regulation 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 regarding "de minimis" aid applies to the contributions referred to in this announcement.

 

How to apply?

 

Applications must be submitted via the Sphinx 2020 application starting from 12.00 on 27 April 2023, until 16.00 on 21 June 2023. Each participant can submit only one application.
