Important news for SIMEST loans in favor of Made in Italy exports

From 6 August, Simest contributions will also cover the costs of projects to be implemented within the European Union, some measures will also be strengthened, extending the eligible expenses and broadening the categories of beneficiaries.

The most interesting news :

EXHIBITIONS > The funding now also covers the costs of participating in international fairs taking place in Italyalso open to large companies.
ASSETS > Reduced the turnover requirement to 20% required, open to businesses with up to 1,500 employees.
ENTERING FOREIGN MARKETS > It also covers expenses for warehouses, offices and after-sales centres.
WARRANTIES EXEMPTION > Until 31 December 2020 it is possible to request the exemption from the guarantee.
EXTENSION TO EUROPEAN COUNTRIES > Projects to be implemented within the EU are now also admitted

The application of the new temporary regime of aid that will allow companies to be financed up to 800,000 euros in non-refundable fundsby raising the altitude to 50% of expenses.

We recall that the measures for the internationalization of Italian companies cover the following topics :

It also strengthens with 900 million of Euros the Fund 394 managed by SIMEST in support of internationalization projects.

Capitalisation:
He comes extended to all Mid Caps the possibility of accessing this loan dedicated to companies that export and which, compared to the others, does not have a specific intended use. 
The maximum level of capital solidity allowed is also raised (which increases from 1.6 to 2 for industrial/manufacturing company and from 2.6 to 4 for commercial/service company) and reduced the foreign turnover requirement, which becomes equal to at least 20% of the total turnover of the last two years o to the 35% of the year preceding the one in which the application was submitted (replacing the previous minimum threshold of the 35% of foreign turnover in the last 3 years)

Entering Foreign Markets
The expenses that SIMEST can finance for companies in relation to commercial insertion abroad will also include those relating to the warehouse, several offices and after-sales assistance centers (up to a maximum of 3 for each type), the simultaneous creation of shops and corners and international product certifications.

Feasibility studies
This instrument will include among the expenses related to the preparation of feasibility studies related to productive or commercial investments abroad also those relating to the company's internal personnel Italian applicant, up to a maximum of 15%.

AND-Commerce:
Companies that want to exploit the potential of electronic commerce will be able to see their investment financed (through their own or third-party platforms) even if registered with a generic and not necessarily geographical top-level domain. 
Furthermore, the rental costs for warehouses and international product certifications can also be financed.

Fairs, Exhibitions and System Missions:
It is also extended to MidCaps and Large Enterprises the possibility of accessing this loan dedicated to covering the expenses associated with participation in international fairs/exhibitions. 
Furthermore, those relating to international trade fairs that take place are also included in the eligible expenses in Italy and at virtual promotional events.

Temporary placement of a Temporary Export Manager (TEM):
The concept of is extended TEM to all professional figures with any specialization as long as they are functional to the realization of internationalization projects; (e.g. "Digital Marketing Manager" And "Innovation Manager").
Furthermore, additional expenses are included, such as those for the integration and digital development of business processes, of construction / modernization of organizational and management models and ideation for product and/or service innovation.
