It's about a reform that should standardize and simplify the complex Indian tax system and kick off a real revolution from a commercial and tax point of view: all taxes indirette, locali e centrali già esistenti, saranno sostituite da un’unica tassa più bassa, la GST. Oggi in India il sistema impositivo cambia da Stato a Stato (condizione che provoca notevoli rallentamenti per l’interscambio commerciale oltre al pagamento di diverse imposte), ma l’introduzione del sistema unico di tassazione favorirà esponenzialmente il business delle aziende che potranno quindi effettuare le proprie operazioni commerciali in maniera più semplice e diretta, evitando il cosiddetto “effetto a cascata” della tassazione.
