INDIA: in which states to invest?

Let's find out which states to invest in in India. According to a recent research named “Economic Freedom Rankings for the States of India” and conducted by some important economists, Gujarat is configured as the state that offers the best conditions for an investment in India. The so-called Economic Freedon Index, elaborato dal prestigioso ente canadese Fraser Institute, si basa su alcuni parametri che analizzano libertà economica, capacità di governance, livello di riforme adottate e crescita economica degli Stati presi in considerazione.

Gujarat has displaced Tamil Nadu, which now occupies the second position, while Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh occupy third, fourth and fifth positions respectively; West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar are instead the states located at the bottom of the ranking.

Per quanto riguarda i parametri relativi a contenimento dei costi e non invasività della macchina statale, l’Haryana si colloca al primo posto, mentre il Madhya Pradesh, che ha fatto registrare il più grande balzo in avanti nella lista, passando dalla sesta alla terza posizione, si è rivelato lo Stato meglio governato dell’India in termini di legalità e sicurezza, presentando la più bassa incidenza di crimini contro la proprietà.

The states with better labor regulations were Maharashtra, Karnataka and Punjab, while West Bengal, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh and Assam are those offering worse conditions.
