Octagona and Cibus 2012: agreement signed with Fiere di Parma

Octagona and Fiere di Parma have entered into an important agreement in view of the Cibus 2012 International Food Fair (www.cibus.it), which will be held from 7 to 10 May 2012, at the Parma Exhibition Centre. Octagona, thanks to the experience gained over the years, has been chosen by the Exhibition Center as Knowledge Partners for India, confirming its role as a leading company in the internationalization activities linked to the Indian market.

Specifically, Octagona will be present with its own stand and will manage the "India" desk, offering the participating companies the appropriate assistance and the necessary support in identifying concrete opportunities for commercial development in this market. As part of the conferences that will take place within the Fair, and which will focus on current issues in the Food & Retail sector, Octagona, on behalf of Enrico Perego, will hold a speech within the workshop on India, in which analyzed the peculiarities and business opportunities present in the country. Among the other speakers at the conference, we note the presence of Cesare Azzali, Director of the Parma Union of Industrialists, Gaurav Marya, President of Franchise India, and Sanjeev Kapoor, International Chef.

Cibus, now in its 16th edition, represents the reference event of the Italian agri-food panorama of excellence and constitutes an important opportunity for Italian companies operating within this sector, intending to undertake internationalization paths on foreign markets: specifically, this year the focus will be on India, the United States, Germany and Japan.

The 2010 edition of Cibus recorded the presence of over 60,000 visitors and sector operators from over 55 countries, over 1,000 top buyers from 70 countries, over 1,000 accredited journalists and 2,324 exhibitors in an area of 120,000 square meters. Also for this year a particularly large participation is expected and expectations are really high: the objective is in fact to confirm the qualitative level of the last edition.
