How to organize an Export Office? Octagona talks about it in a course organized by Bergamo Sviluppo and NIBI

A foreign Office of a company must be the right prerequisite for starting, developing or managing any internationalization or export activities. In a phase like the current one in which globalization changes scenarios and paradigms very quickly, success abroad is born first of all From one concrete, effective and efficient planning of the organizational structure for export and an effective organization of the human resources involved in the project.

How is a company's export office organised? And what are the activities and the correct methods to implement to start a successful export project?

Enrico Perego, Senior Partner of Octagona (a company that has been operating for 15 years in the internationalization sector and which also deals with training activities for important bodies, universities and institutions), and NIBI teacher,  within the training course "The export office for SMEs", training meeting that falls within the scope of a cycle of 11 meetings on the theme of business internationalization organized by Bergamo Development – Special Company of the Chamber of Commerce of Bergamo, in collaboration with NIBI – New Promos International Business Institute – Milan Chamber of Commerce.

It's about training meetings (which began in June and will continue until December) with a practical, transversal and business oriented cut, with the aim of deepen the dynamics of international markets and the complexity of the global economic system. The course held by Octagona will take place Wednesday 5 October from 14.00 to 18.00 at the Technological Point of Dalmine (Bergamo).

The themes which Octagona will deal with are the following:

  • Self-diagnosis before embarking on an international journey;
  • Identify the foreign markets of interest to the company;
  • Find and choose the correct distribution channel;
  • Roles and duties of a structured export office;
  • Build a foreign office with limited resources;
  • Concrete cases.
