Sell abroad with the tender launched by Unioncamere and the Emilia-Romagna Region!

Is your company ready for foreign markets but do you need financial support to start the right project? The Regional tender launched by Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna and by Emilia-Romagna Region for the internationalization of local SMEs, with non-repayable loans, and a expert support from Octagona I'm the one for you!

Starting dto 4 February and until 18 March 2019companies will be able to apply to obtain funding for projects on foreign markets envisaged within the same tender, which finances them export activity of SMEs; companies will be able to present only one project, aimed at support on international markets (for up to two countries), using external consultancy services. Everyone the probjects will have to finish by 31 December 2019.

The following are the characteristics of the tender:

Contribution amount

THE funds made available by Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna and the Emilia-Romagna Region amount to  Almost 900.000 €: le beneficiary companies will be able to get a non-repayable contribution equal to 50% of eligible expenses. The minimum contribution is equivalent to €3,000  (against total costs of €6,000), while the The maximum contribution will be €20,000 (against total costs of €40,000).

Beneficiaries

The intervention is aimed at Micro, small and medium enterprises having registered office and/or operational in Emilia Romagna, with a sales minimum Of €300,000. Specifically, the call is aimed at:

• non-exporting or non-exporting companies (i.e. who carried out direct sales operations abroad in the two-year period 2016-2017 for less than 20% of the total turnover);
• habitual exporting firms (i.e. who carried out direct sales operations abroad in the two-year period 2016-2017 for more than 20% of their total turnover). 

Type of activity to be implemented

The first mandatory and binding activity of all projects is theanalysis of the company's capabilities and potential to face an internationalization process, approach new markets or consolidate existing ones (Assessment).

The projects will then have to provide at least one of the following activities:

• enhancement of promotional tools and foreign language marketing;
• brand protection of the company;
• obtaining of product certifications necessary for export;
• TEM (Temporary Export Manager) and/or TMM (Temporary Marketing Manager);
• participation to maximum two exhibitions international;
• realization of one or more events abroad, for commercial purposes;
• personalized meetings with foreign operators.
