North Africa absorbs two-thirds of Italian exports to Africa<\/strong>, so much so that the five countries south of the Mediterranean, along with South Africa, have been Italy's top six markets on the continent for years.<\/p>\n

According to Istat data, in 2021 an export value of more than 11.8 billion out of total 17.9 billion in Africa went to North Africa, with countries such as\u00a0Egypt<\/strong>\u00a0(3.8 billion),\u00a0Tunisia<\/strong>\u00a0(2.85 billion) and\u00a0Morocco<\/strong>\u00a0(2.2 billion) that saw significant percentage growth figures and numbers in line with pre covid values.<\/p>\n

Egypt, in particular, was the third largest African destination market in 2019 with 2.4 billion euros, today it is the first with 3.8 billion, and it also grew in 2020 thanks above all to several contracts that fueled the demand for capital goods (instrumental mechanics, electrical appliances, means of transport, etc.).<\/p>\n

Also very responsive is Morocco, which is the most stable country in the region, with the best risk profile and a rather diversified economy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also thea Tunisia sees very interesting prospects for growth, also and especially for the recovery of tourist flows<\/strong> that have led to a renewed level of wealth in the country.<\/p>\n

To this should be added that in Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco the rate and especially the level of schooling are high<\/strong> and offer, for the labor market once the educational cycle is completed, young and qualified personnel, and with a certain lower cost than in other countries of the Mediterranean basin. The three countries are therefore also a good destination for those who want to not only export but also invest directly in those countries.<\/p>\n
