The prospects for the coming years continue to be extremely positive (<strong>+7.9 in 2019 <\/strong>and <strong>+6.8 in the 2020-2022 biennium<\/strong>), driven by the impressive growth the country is experiencing.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nevertheless,<strong> The Italian market share of total Indian imports is limited to %.<\/strong>, about a third of the German share, and Italian companies do not seem to be taking advantage of the huge opportunities offered by the Subcontinent, risking being relegated to a marginal role in what is set to become in the near future the third global economy and the most populous country in the world.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>THE AREAS OF GREATEST INTEREST<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As mentioned, the <strong>there are many opportunities for our country in the Subcontinent <\/strong>and the sectors offering the greatest opportunities for Made in Italy products are:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong><em>Agribusiness and Food Processing<\/em>:<\/strong> It is estimated that the agri-food sector in India will reach a value of 45 billion Euros by 2025. Fundamental to achieving this goal will be government efforts to reduce waste in the supply chain through the Mega Food Parks project. Given Italy's leading position in the sector, the opportunities for our companies are vast: in the 2019-2022 three-year period, Italian exports to the<strong><em> instrumental mechanics<\/em><\/strong> and in the\u2019<strong>agribusiness<\/strong> will score respectively <strong>+6,1%<\/strong> and <strong><em>+4,7%<\/em><\/strong>;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong><em>Infrastructure<\/em>:<\/strong> The Indian government has allocated over 870 billion Euros for the 2020-2030 decade for a massive plan to modernize the country's infrastructure. The railway sector alone will be affected by investments exceeding 114 billion Euros, for the construction of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai high-speed rail and the construction and modernization of 400 stations nationwide. In the 2019-2022 three-year period, these massive investments are expected to benefit Italian exports, particularly in the sectors <strong><em>rubber and plastic<\/em><\/strong> (<strong>+8,8%<\/strong>) e <strong><em>metals <\/em><\/strong>(<strong>+9,8%<\/strong>);\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong><em>Pharmaceutical<\/em>: <\/strong>India is the world's leading supplier of generic drugs, accounting for 42% of global production and 20% of world exports. With the Modi government's recent reforms, 100% foreign ownership of new projects is permitted (74% of existing facilities).
