{"id":9659,"date":"2021-06-09T15:09:51","date_gmt":"2021-06-09T15:09:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.octagona.com\/?p=9659"},"modified":"2023-02-13T08:47:48","modified_gmt":"2023-02-13T08:47:48","slug":"export-made-in-italy-food-leads-the-recovery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/octagona.com\/en\/export-made-in-italy-il-food-guida-la-ripresa\/","title":{"rendered":"Made in Italy exports: food leads the recovery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>There is good news, however: we are facing recovery.<\/strong>\u00a0For this reason, in recent weeks we have presented you with the numerous opportunities that are emerging for small and medium-sized enterprises, such as Digital Export or the voucher for internationalization.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, the damage from the pandemic won't be erased quickly, but the forecasts in the latest ICE-Prometeia Report outline a path that leaves no room for uncertainty: in 2021, a\u00a0<strong>International trade restart of +7.6%<\/strong>\u00a0compared with last year, with further growth in the\u00a0<strong>+5.3% in 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">But what's behind this recovery?\u00a0<strong>Made in Italy Exports<\/strong>, which, in the post-Covid era, will increasingly look to Asia as well as Europe, driven by one sector in particular. Today, we present to you another opportunity ready to be seized: the food sector.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Food is the locomotive<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">According to the 18th ICE - Prometeia Report,\u00a0<em>\u201ca return to the essential and to health-related aspects\u00a0<strong>will boost the Italian food sector (+8.51% over the past three months)<\/strong>\u00a0than the Fashion System (+6.7%), which is more related to sociality. The health aspects of consumption, for example, will be rewarding\u00a0<strong>even after the health crisis has passed<\/strong>, keeping the agribusiness chain among the most attractive ones.\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, food is the sector that has shown the most growth in the digital sphere. In fact, exports through digital channels have grown by the\u00a0<strong>+46%<\/strong>\u00a02019 to 2020, amounting to\u00a0<strong>1.9 billion<\/strong>: well\u00a0<strong>the 14% of Italian digital exports<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Global demand is growing fast<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Exports to the<strong>\u00a0Asian countries<\/strong>\u00a0are those that will have the most significant rebound: Asian emerging countries will import from Italy for a value of\u2019<strong>8.9% upper<\/strong>\u00a0By 2020, while more mature countries like Japan will import from Italy with an increase of\u2019<strong>8,4%<\/strong>. The Americas also seem ready to receive Italian products in greater quantities: in 2021 the\u00a0<strong>North America<\/strong>\u00a0will register a\u00a0<strong>+7,9%<\/strong>, while the\u2019<strong>Latin America<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a0<strong>+7%<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p id=\"U4081715417fDI\" class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Asia free trade agreement and the benefits for Italian exports<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">On the Asian continent, the survey further notes,<strong> The year of the pandemic was also the year of the largest free trade agreement ever signed.<\/strong>, an agreement that could shift the competitive balance in one of the regions with the greatest future potential (the signatory countries already account for 81% of Italian exports). With a contribution to global trade of \u20ac9.3 trillion and involving over 2.2 billion people, the 15 signatories to the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) agreement have laid the groundwork for a deal that, from a trade perspective, focuses primarily on medium-term impacts. For Italy, these are markets worth a total of 39 billion euros (81% of its exports), and maintaining a presence in them remains essential for the recovery in the coming years.
