The UAE is an important partner of Italy in many spheres: from the political one (characterized by a constant dialogue on bilateral issues) to the cultural one (many expats are Italian: for this reason the first Italian Institute of Culture has been inaugurated in the Gulf area), from the scientific one (not by chance, many researchers present there are Italian) to the economic one. In particular, regarding this last point, the UAE represents for Italy the first outlet market in the MENA area.
