The transaction conducted by Octagona in the Iranian market, vis-à-vis Brollo Siet Srl, highlighted in the press
Iran today represents the last great frontier of international business. The country has been re-emerging on the international scene for some years now, and there are plenty of companies that see the enormous untapped potential. In fact, the country boasts one of the youngest and most educated population rates in the area: out of 78 million inhabitants, two-thirds are under 35 years old. Economic growth was +4.3% in 2014, +0.4% in 2015, and +4.5% in 2016, while it is expected to be +5.2% by the end of the year and +4.5% in both 2018 and 2019.
And among the companies that are benefiting most from this economic and demographic development are Italian companies. Indeed, Made In Italy is an increasingly popular brand, with the middle class demanding more and more Italian consumer products, while at the same time companies are seeking the quality and reliability of Italian machinery, services and infrastructure. And just among these companies, the latest to land on Iranian soil was Treviso-based Brollo Siet.
Brollo Siet srl is an Italian company that manufactures and markets electrical and electronic neon transformers, neon and sign accessories, LED displays and other types of products in the electrical material-lighting sector. The company, already strongly active in foreign markets and with a production site in India, wanted to activate a Business Development project in the Iranian market and for this very reason it relied on Octagona's experience to prepare its entry into Iran.
Specifically, the company intended to initiate in-depth market research, on the segment of processors, in order to understand business opportunities; activate a search and contact action of local counterparts (importers, distributors, manufacturers, end customers) interested in starting a partnership aimed at marketing products in Iran; implement a process of market establishment, aimed initially at a process of supplying processors(or part of them) and possibly establishing a local production garrison.
«Iran is a market with very high potential,» said Alessandro Fichera, CEO of Octagona, "and there are great business spaces for Italian companies. Precisely because of these motivations, and with the aim of helping companies interested in the market, we decided to activate our presence in Iran, with the support of a local team: Iran is still a virgin market yet to be discovered, and being able to have collaborators on site represents an invaluable added value for those who want to approach the country. Brollo, which is a pmi with clear ideas and a high quality product, characteristics that make it particularly suitable for starting successful projects in emerging markets such as Iran, has therefore jumped at the chance; having supported it has not only been a source of great satisfaction for our company, but also represents the first important step into the Iranian market, within which we intend to consolidate our presence.".
Roberto Cimmino, managing director of Brollo Siet srl, commented as follows:
“The activity of scouting and selecting potential companies interested in cooperating with Brollo Siet Srl was more than successful: the selected potential clients turned out to be seriously interested and completely inherent to the activities and size of our company.
Therefore, we have achieved our goals and are satisfied with what has been achieved in this first phase of internationalization in Iran: this was possible thanks to Octagona, which assisted us on site with excellent professionalism and expertise.”.
