Grant recipients and eligibility requirements
Legal entities with a registered office or operating unit in Emilia-Romagna and meeting the following requirements at the time of application are eligible to apply:

Be duly incorporated, active and registered with the Register of Companies or to the Administrative Economic Directory at the relevant Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handicrafts and Agriculture;
- Possess the requirements (dimensional parameters and autonomy characters) of micro, small and medium enterprise as defined in Annex 1 of EU Regulation No. 651/2014 of June 17, 2014;

not be in a state of judicial liquidation, composition with creditors, and any other insolvency proceedings provided for in Legislative Decree 14/2019, as amended pursuant to Legislative Decree 83/2022, nor have pending proceedings for the declaration of any of these situations against them;
- belong to the eligible sectors of economic activity of the notice, or of the ATECO codes 10 through 33 (Section C - Manufacturing Activities), ATECO code 35 (Section D - Supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning), ATECO code 36 to 39 (Section E - Water Supply), ATECO code from 58 to 63 (Section J - Information and Communication Services) only if the activity is carried out by entities registered in the Commercial Register or in the Economic and Administrative Directory of the relevant Chamber of Commerce, and the other divisions reported in ’Annex 1 of the Notice of Admission.
Characteristics of fundable projects
The call supports projects carried out by micro, small and medium enterprises and legal entities registered in the Administrative Economic Directory (REA) for the Participation in one or more international trade fairs held in foreign countries or in Italy as long as they have international status; fairs can
be both in-person and digitized (virtual fairs with remote participation).
Membership in business meetings (B2B) or collective and international promotional events is also allowed, organized by third parties with proven international experience, in-person or virtual format.
Interventions:
- will have to be implemented from As of January 1, 2023 and completed by December 31, 2023;
- must be carried out exclusively for the benefit of the applicant's production unit/operating headquarters located in the territory of the Emilia-Romagna Region and indicated in the grant application;
- must not include activities that are part of an operation being relocated to Emilia-Romagna or that constitute the transfer of a productive activity to Emilia-Romagna from a member state of the Union or another Italian region.
Eligible expenses
The following types of expenditures are eligible:

INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIRS: Participation by the grantee in fairs abroad or in Italy (in the latter case only fairs with “international” status), whether physical or virtual in nature. In the case of in-person fairs, the following costs will be allowed: space rental, set-up rental (including stand design costs), space management, transport of goods on display and insurance of the same, hiring of hostesses/interpreters. In the case of virtual fairs, the following costs will be allowed: registration for the fair and related services, digital consultancy, hosting, digital content production, onerous agreements with media partners, sample shipment costs.

B2B AND EVENTS: membership by the grantee in promotional events, business meetings, b2b in physical or virtual form, collective and of international level, organized by third parties with proven experience in the international arena. The events cannot be organized by the grantee, nor be for its exclusive benefit, but be events for the benefit of several participating parties. Eligible expenditure items for B2B and events are the same as those listed for international trade fairs.
Characteristics of the contribution
The regional contribution will be Granted on a non-repayable basis to the extent of 70% of expenses deemed eligible, for an amount Not exceeding 25,000.00 euros. The contribution amount can be increased by 5%, subject to the maximum amount stated above and the percentage stated in relation to the planned expenditure, If one or more of the following cases occurs:
- if the applicant's business activity is characterized, at the time of application, by the relevance of the presence of women and/or youth as indicated in the’Annex 3 to the notice;
- in the event that the proposing entities operate, with reference to the operational headquarters/local units where the intervention is carried out, in mountain areas, as defined pursuant to Regional Law No. 2/2004 and ss.mm.ii. and identified by Regional Council Resolutions No. 1734/2004, No. 1813/2009, No. 383/2022 and No. 1337/2022 (so-called MOUNTAIN AREAS) (Annex 4 to the notice).
- in the event that the entities proposing the projects operate, with reference to the operational headquarters/local units where the intervention is carried out, in the areas of Emilia-Romagna included in the national map of regional state aid approved by the European Commission by Decision C(2022)1545 of March 18, 2022 (so-called AREAS 107. 3. C) (Annex 9 to the notice).
- in the event that the entities proposing the projects operate, with reference to the operational offices/local units where the intervention is carried out, in the inland areas of Emilia-Romagna (INLAND AREAS), as identified in Annex B to the Deliberation of the Council no. 512/2022 (Annex 5 to the notice).
- in case the applicants, who have an annual turnover of €2 mln or more, are in possession, at the time of application, of the legality rating pursuant to the Decree of Article 5-ter of Decree-Law 1/2012, as amended by Decree-Law 29/2012, converted with amendments by Law 62/2012) and MEF-MISE Decree February 20, 2014, No. 57.
Submission of applications
The grant application must be completed and submitted exclusively electronically, via the specific web application Sphinx 2020 as of 12 noon on March 16, 2023 until the 4 p.m. of April 18, 2023. Each subject may submit one question.
