Canada represents an extremely attractive market for Italian companies that are interested in directing their exports abroad, or even internationalizing their production. It is a commodity-rich, high-income country, not surprisingly resulting in the ninth largest economy in the world.
Bilateral trade with Italy shows an important interest in Made in Italy, which has also been growing in recent years (+27.7% exported value from 2019 to 2022). In addition, ’interchange has increased by about 60% since the introduction of CETA in 2016.
Not surprisingly, Italy ranks eighth among the top exporting countries to Canada.
