Selling in India: BIS certification mandatory

Thanks to the strong expansion of its market inside and to the geographical position fostering its trade relations, India is increasingly shaping itself as a target country in the Asian region.

BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), requires compliance with quality and safety standards for many products placed on the market established by the national certification body operating under the authority of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution of India.

It is therefore a requirement imposed by the Indian standardisation body to ensure that certain products meet specific quality and safety standards before being placed on the market.

From the collaboration with Confindustria Mantua, the day of online meetings dedicated to exports to India, with a focus particularly on the BIS certification, mandatory to export correctly in this country.
