The client company

Pierpaoli S.r.l is a family business founded in 1939 in Senigallia and is engaged in the production of household cleaning products, of the person (personal and baby care) and the skin care. It is still active in these areas but since 2005, it has converted production by focusing on eco organic products. Pierpaoli produces a wide range of organic and certified eco-bio cosmetics, marketed both under its own brand and private label. Thanks to its production capacity, it has managed to build a solid Domestic and international market presence.       Objectives:

  • Understand trends and characteristics of the UAE market With reference to the cosmetics industry;
  • Locate compatible local counterparts In the target market;
  • Meet (virtually or physically) with counterparts interested in the Client's products/services;
  • Preside over some key appointments in the local market (e.g., industry fairs/conventions/events...) to acquisition of new prospects.

Strategy and action

To carry out the project, the Octagona team has identified in detail the milestones:

  • Analysis depth of the company and the market reference;
  • Strategic planning To define timelines and steps;
  • Product registration so that they can be traded within the United Arab Emirates;
  • Profiling potential leads With whom business relations have been established; 
  • Participation in trade fairs On-site by the assigned temporary export manager.

The results obtained

The Octagona team was able to:

  • Register all products of Pierpaoli, a key step for their commercialization within the Emirati territory;
  • Conducting a market research detailed about the cosmetics industry in the UAE (product analysis, packaging, competitors, etc.);
  • Identify Through ad hoc research and participation in trade shows le key people with which to form partnerships (a total of 84 companies were identified);
  • Exploring new markets (Additional opportunities in the Iraqi and Indian markets were identified during the project).
