North Africa
Do you want to expand your business abroad but don't know which country to start with?
Then you should know that North Africa absorbs two-thirds of Italian exports to Africa, so much so that the five countries south of the Mediterranean have been the top six markets on the continent for Italy for years, along with South Africa.
According to Istat data, in 2022 an export value of over 11.8 billion euros out of a total of 17.9 billion in Africa went to North Africa, with countries like Egypt (3.8 billion), Tunisia (2.85 billion), and Morocco (2.2 billion) seeing significant percentage growth and figures in line with pre-COVID values.
To this, we must add that in Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco, the enrollment rate and, above all, the education level are high, offering young and qualified personnel for the job market once their education is complete. The three countries therefore represent a good destination also for those who not only want to export but also invest directly in those countries.
