Veneto region, new call for the implementation of innovation and development projects

The Veneto Region has published new call for innovation and development, in order to support the revitalization and strengthen the competitiveness of the local production system, has launched a call for the implementation of training and accompanying interventions towards enterprises and workers. The region's directive aims to respond to the need, especially by micro or small enterprises, to be able to develop specific training and professional projects, limited in scope to the individual business reality.

The initiatives prepared to support businesses and their human capital should be directed toward measures to improve efficiency and optimization of business processes, innovation, internationalization, sustainable development, development of innovative marketing and communication tools, and improvement and optimization of transport and logistics, focusing on the areas of intervention that are key for the Veneto business to compete in international markets.

The budget made available by the Veneto Region will be 15 million euros, and the notice provides for 11 openings at the door (with very short timeframes for approval of projects submitted) with the possibility of participating in the call by submitting diversified project proposals over a wide timeframe. The deadline for submitting applications is January 31, 2014.

Specifically, the recipients of the training and accompanying activities are:

• Workers employed by private enterprises operating in units located in the region;
• Freelancers, business owners, business assistants;
• Private enterprises operating in units located in the region.
