Puglia Region, internationalization call for consortia and business networks published

It was recently published by the Puglia Region the internationalization call for companies willing to seek new business opportunities and to expand their activities abroad. Thanks to a financial endowment of 20 million Euros, all the companies having their registered office in Puglia, gathered in groupings of SMEs and craft enterprises, such as consortia and consortium companies, or which have set up a network contract, will be able to access the funds of the Region to start an internationalization business.

The financial facilitation made available by the Apulia Region cannot exceed 80% of the eligible expenses and companies will be able to submit regular applications starting from the fifteenth day after the publication, which took place on 13 June 2013, and by 30 September 2014 .

Interested companies will be able to create:

• international promotion projects that envisage a complex set of actions including participation in international fairs;
• the search for foreign partners;
• the management of common centers of services of fomento, logistical and assistance to the clients;
• the organization of temporary exhibitions and product presentations.

Consortia or business networks that intend to apply must include the figure of an internationalization expert, a so-called "Project Manager", who has already worked in the sector for at least five years and who is able to manage the international promotion project and support companies throughout the internationalization process. The role of the "Project Manager" will be to carry out consultancy activities in relation to studies and analyzes of the markets and potential foreign partners.
