World destination: stop India

To date, India is the fifth largest economy in the world. Following the significant reforms implemented by the Indian government that have enabled major investments in the single market, infrastructure, and attraction of foreign investment, a new positioning of India in the international trade scenario seems to have begun. In recent months, relations with Italy have intensified, boosting collaboration especially in key sectors such as green economy, agribusiness, digital and manufacturing.

Although elements of complexity still remain, due to the general uncertain environment and high inflationary pressures, India is certainly among the markets to be monitored for Italian exporters. Huge and fast-growing domestic demand, the availability of raw materials, and the competitive cost of skilled labor are indeed factors that lead one to believe it is a good time to invest in the country.

This will be discussed with Dr. Vincenzo De Luca, Italian Ambassador to New Delhi and Dr. Alessandro Fichera, CEO of Octagona srl, a company specializing in internationalization projects in India and other interesting guests.
