Market entry in India, South East Asia and the Balkans
How is the Indian economy currently developing and what are the factors1
As of today, India is the fifth largest economy in the world. Following the relevant reforms implemented by the Indian government which have allowed important investments on the single market, on infrastructures, on the attraction of foreign investments, a new positioning of India in the international commercial scene seems to have begun. In recent months, relations with Italy have intensified, encouraging collaboration especially for key sectors such as the green economy, agri-food, digital and manufacturing.
Although elements of complexity still remain, due to the general context of uncertainty and high inflationary pressures, India is certainly one of the markets to monitor for Italian exporters. An enormous and strongly growing internal demand, the availability of raw materials and the competitive cost of skilled labour, are in fact elements which lead us to believe that it is a good time to invest in the country.
This will be discussed with Dr. Vincenzo De Luca, Italian Ambassador in New Delhi and Dr. Alessandro Fichera, CEO of Octagona srl, a company specializing in internationalization projects in India and other interesting guests.
