Emilia Romagna Region, tender for the internationalization of business networks

The Emilia Romagna Region has recently released a notice aimed at promoting the internationalization paths of local business networks. Through this action, the Region intends not only to facilitate the penetration and strengthen the presence of Emilia-Romagna Small and Medium-sized Enterprises on international markets, but also to further disseminate and enhance the concept of the Network, as a useful tool capable of enabling these paths.

The call is aimed at enterprise networks that have already been established or whose establishment does not exceed the date of 25 October 2013: the essential requirement established by the Region provides that the network must be made up of at least three enterprises (with registered office in Emilia Romagna) belonging to sectors of industry, crafts, services, construction and transport. Companies interested in adhering to the tender must be duly registered in the register of companies at the local Chambers of Commerce and must send an application no later than 18.00 on 27 September 2013.

These are the guidelines and conditions set by the Region in order to have access to the funds:

• each Network can submit only one project, focused on a single destination country or on countries belonging to highly integrated economic areas;
• the subsidy provided consists of capital grants up to 50% of the expenses deemed eligible;
• projects with expenditure deemed eligible by the Region of less than €50,000 will be excluded;
• the grant that can be granted cannot exceed the amount of € 150,000 per project, and € 50,000 for each individual participating company;
• the contributions granted cannot be combined, for the same expenses, with other contributions granted by any public body;
• the overall cost of the project cannot exceed 20% of the cumulative turnover of the companies belonging to the Network, with reference to the last approved balance sheet.

The activities must have an exclusively promotional, study or consultancy nature, aimed at the internationalization of the Networks.
