La Lazio Region, in order to promote the internationalization processes and the competitiveness of local micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, has published a call for proposals with a financial allocation of 5 million Euros. This initiative aims to respond to the needs of Lazio-based companies to initiate and develop activities for the expansion of their business abroad, in order to remain competitive in international markets.
The objective of the call is to encourage the participation of SMEs from the Lazio Region in an aggregated form (at least 3 independent SMEs, in the form of ATI, ATS, Business Networks, and possibly also formally constituted Consortia) in common internationalization initiatives that include trade fair promotional activities, commercial and industrial cooperation, and support for the quality of Lazio's exports.
Projects must have a minimum budget of 50,000 euros, and the subsidy consists of a non-repayable grant equal to 50% of the total eligible project cost, up to a maximum of 250,000 euros per project, which may be increased to 350,000 euros if the consortium submits a project proposal involving at least 25 companies.
Applications can be submitted from September 16 to October 31, 2014.
