Start selling abroad with the Emilia-Romagna Region's call for proposals!

Starting Sept. 11 and ending Oct. 11, 2017, companies can reapply for funding for projects in foreign markets provided within the same notice approved by the region last April 13, which finances export activities of SMEs and is divided into two different tranches (the first, which made 50% of the available resources available, has already been activated from May 15 to June 15).

Listed below are the main features of the announcement:

• is aimed at companies that are not regular exporters or companies that intend to participate in at least 3 trade fairs abroad;
• the activities will be able to take place until December 31, 2018;
• each enterprise may submit application for only one type of project;
• the announcement does not provide for over-the-counter grant allocation, but rather Through qualitative selection of projects.

Projects of non-regular exporting enterprises (both single enterprises and Enterprise Networks)

The following will be eligible to apply enterprises that have a minimum annual turnover of 700,000 euros and who have not exported more than 10% of their sales in the past 2 years.

The grant, scheduled for a minimum project value of 50,000 euros, is paid in the maximum size of 40% of eligible expenses, with an incremental system that can increase this percentage to 45% if the project involves the creation of new employment. The subsidy may not exceed 100,000 euros for companies applying as individuals (and 400,000 euros for business networks).

Among the various eligible expenses there are:

• consulting for the planning an internationalization plan;
• fee for a Temporary Export Manager (TEM) to coordinate and manage the project;
• organization of meetings business and incoming company visits;
• any participation in trade fairs abroad or organization of promotional events.
