Lean Factory Japan Study Tour 2018: the new initiative of Bonfiglioli Consulting

New initiative by Bonfiglioli Consulting. The Bologna-based company, with which Octagona has established a strategic partnership, is organizing a STUDY TRIP TO JAPAN, April 22-28, 2018, to enjoy a 360-degree Lean experience, thanks to a Privileged access to business establishments of the manufacturing and service industries, and with the goal of learning how Lean Management concepts are applied in Japan. Participations are also planned in training workshop with Toyota managers c/o Hirayama Training Center.

As part of the study tour, the factories of:

  • Yamato Transport Co. Ltd to understand how to find value for the end customer even in a mature business and see an excellent example of a Lean approach applied in logistics distribution;

The added value of the study trip:

  • Preliminary training on lean system principles to standardize participants' knowledge;
  • company visits to realities in the manufacturing and service industries to learn how Lean Management concepts are applied in Japan and how the management strategy of Management by Cleaning is practiced;
  • Hands-on training provided by Toyota Managers from Hirayama;
  • daily group debriefings, by a Lean Expert, to derive as much benefit as possible from the experience gained;
  • Direct interaction with local management systems and managers with the support of a Japanese culture expert;
  • confrontation with other entrepreneurs, managers, and consultants away from the daily grind.
