Octagona and Cibus 2012: agreement signed with Fiere di Parma

Octagona and Fiere di Parma have entered into an important agreement ahead of the 2012 Cibus International Food Fair (www.cibus.it), which will be held May 7-10, 2012, at the Parma Fairgrounds. Octagona, thanks to the experience gained in recent years, has been chosen by the Fair Authority as the Knowledge Partner for India, confirming its role as a leading company for internationalization activities related to the Indian market.

Specifically, Octagona will be present with its own stand and will manage the “India” desk, offering participating companies the appropriate assistance and necessary support in the identification of concrete opportunities for business development towards this market. As part of the conferences that will take place within the Fair, and that will focus on current issues in the Food & Retail field, Octagona, on behalf of Enrico Perego, will give a speech within the workshop on India, in which the peculiarities and business opportunities present in the country will be analyzed. Other speakers at the conference include Cesare Azzali, Director of Unione Parmense degli Industriali, Gaurav Marya, President of Franchise India, and Sanjeev Kapoor, International Chef.

Cibus, now in its 16th edition, represents the benchmark event of the Italian agri-food scene of excellence and is an important opportunity for Italian companies operating within this sector, willing to undertake paths of internationalization in foreign markets: specifically, this year the focus will be on India, the United States, Germany and Japan.

The 2010 edition of Cibus had been attended by more than 60,000 visitors and industry professionals from more than 55 countries, more than 1,000 top buyers from 70 countries, more than 1,000 accredited journalists and 2324 exhibitors in an area of 120,000 square meters. Particularly high attendance is expected again this year, and expectations are indeed high: the goal is indeed to confirm the quality level of the last edition.
