Export Champion Program 2022-23

Are you an entrepreneur or manager interested in new business opportunities?

Octagona, as a SACE partner, offers the’Export Champion Program, the specialized, academic and completely free training program promoted by SACE Education in collaboration with LUISS Business School.

The initiative, now in its 3rd year, is aimed at Exporting companies interested in learning more about Latin America and in particular the markets of Brazil, Colombia and Mexico and to intercept new business opportunities in the area, including as part of supply chain operations overseen by SACE.

The training this year will give participants exclusive access to a digital platform where they can:

• Follow all appointments (live or streaming);
• Downloading on-demand content;
• Register with an official profile to facilitate the exchange of best practices with other companies;

• Engage in direct discussion, through surveys and questions, with speakers and participants.

Why Latin America?

Despite the fact that globally Latin America ranks among the regions most affected by the pandemic, as early as 2021 the pandemic recorded a fair amount of growth momentum (+7% of GDP on average), also encouraged by a Geographical and economic remoteness from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, by the relative isolation of many economies from global value chains, and by an energy and food self-sufficiency that characterizes many contexts in the area.

But in the aftermath of Brazil's presidential elections, what are the current and future challenges facing Italian companies interested in developing their business in the country? What are the opportunities for companies that decide to set up shop in Colombia, a dynamic economy that confirms good growth prospects (+15.7% in 2022, +7.1% in 2023)? The individual meetings will provide an opportunity to explore, specifically, the risks and opportunities that the three Latin American markets may offer in the aftermath of the pandemic outbreak and a changed political-economic environment.

What will be discussed?

• The course is divided into. 6 training sessions, delivered in webinar mode, aimed at providing an economic, legal and tax analysis of the markets under analysis, as well as a comprehensive overview of insurance-financial tools for accessing the Brazilian, Mexican and Colombian markets;
• These will be followed by a in-person event on Rome that will also be a networking opportunity to meet other participating companies and LUISS and SACE faculty;
• All participating enterprises will also be given a certificate of attendance.

Who is the Export Champion Program aimed at?

100 SMEs* (CEOs and/or corporate figures deputed to the management of internationalization processes) with previous experience abroad, without business sector preclusion, who want to deepen business opportunities in the Latin America area.
