Kiton In India: The Neapolitan fashion house specializing in the production of high-fashion menswear and ties intends to strengthen its presence in India. The company, which has already been present in the market in question since last year through a collaboration with the Mumbai-based company Regalia Luxury Clothing, plans to establish a joint venture with a local partner and will soon open single-brand stores in New Delhi and Mumbai. Currently, the company's strategy involves opening at least two stores by the end of 2014 or, at the latest, in 2015.
Kiton India, whose global sales grew by 101% in 2013 compared to the previous year, operates 45 stores worldwide, and according to internal sources, total sales have grown significantly over the past 4–5 years despite the recession.
This operation is considered most opportune for the company, considering the strong demand for men's luxury clothing occurring in the Asian country. According to the consulting firm Technopak, the men's luxury clothing market in India, which is experiencing continuous growth, is currently valued at around 17.3 million Euros annually.
