Apulia Region, published call for internationalization of Consortia and Enterprise Networks

The Puglia Region recently published the call for internationalization aimed at enterprises intend to seek new business opportunities and expand their activities abroad. Thanks to a financial allocation of 20 million Euros, all companies legally based in Puglia, united in groupings of SMEs and artisan enterprises, such as consortia and consortium companies, or that have established a network contract, will be able to access regional funds to start an internationalization activity.

The financial assistance provided by the Puglia Region may not exceed 80% of eligible expenses, and businesses may submit applications starting on the fifteenth day following the publication—which took place on June 13, 2013—and no later than September 30, 2014.

Interested companies will be able to realize:

• International promotion projects involving a multifaceted set of actions including participation in international trade fairs;
• The search for foreign partners;
• The management of common service centers for promotion, logistics and customer service;
• the organization of temporary exhibitions and product presentations.

Consortia or Business Networks applying must include an internationalization expert, a so-called “Project Manager,” who has at least five years of experience in the sector and is capable of managing the international promotion project and supporting businesses throughout the internationalization process. The “Project Manager” will be responsible for providing consulting services related to studies and analyses of markets and potential foreign partners.
