The prospects for companies operating in the dairy sector are also interesting. In fact, according to Eurostat data, exports from Italy to Europe were worth as much as 11.2 billion euros in total between 2016 and 2020, with a +33.77% increase and an average annual value of 2.3 billion euros.
Also positive are the signals from France, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain and Switzerland, with an increase in imports from Italy over the five years ranging from +25.27% (Spain) to 38.82% (Switzerland).
Finally, the third sector identified by Total and Octagona is wine, which has grown for the +11,38% between 2016 and 2020, with a total value of 18 billion euros.
Again, the main signals come from Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland and Sweden. Germany was the leading country, with imports from Italy worth 5.1 billion euros, but with less growth than the other countries (+9.88%): a sign that competition in the country is as fierce as ever. Sweden, on the other hand, registered an increase of more than +22%, with a total value of 865.8 million euros.
