A new Bauli product arrives in India. The Veronese confectionery company, chaired by Alberto Bauli, has taken steps to market single packs of cream croissants, the price of which is around 15 INR (0.2 Euro). It is currently possible to find this type of product in some supermarkets, such as Easy Day supermarkets and INA market.
The strategy followed by the food group from Veneto seems to be the most suitable: the Indian market is particularly sensitive to the single-serving concept, both due to the presence of so-called kirana shops (the small food shops very frequent in India) and for the peculiarity of the local consumer, in particular price sensitive.
The entry of croissants in single packs into India follows a previous partnership agreement signed by Bauli with Dreambake, a division of Switz Group (Dubai company leader in the Middle East and India for confectionery and bakery products), precisely to the creation of a production and marketing line for snacks, such as croissants, in the Asian country. Although the agreement was signed in 2009, the sale of this product only started recently.
