India Educational & Business Program: the ICE-Agency project to do business in the Indian market

India is today one of the most promising non-European markets for Italian businesses.: The Subcontinent is going through an extraordinary phase of economic development, and the reform program put in place by New Delhi to attract foreign investment is a formidable driver of development. The business opportunities are present in different areas: among them, the agribusiness and food processing sector, which the Local Government is investing significant resources in order to increase agricultural productivity and strengthen industrial capacity in the processing and preservation of food products.

In this regard, ICE-Agency, in collaboration with Confindustria Veneto, Confindustria Emilia-Romagna e Confindustria Lombardy has completed the project “India – Educational & Business Program, training course intended for Italian SMEs in the agro-industrial and food processing sector, with the aim of promoting their business in India.

The project consists of. three stages: Training and assessment, Business Scouting e Incoming Of Indian operators in Italy.

As for the first phase of Training, structured into 4 modules, each lasting 1 day, which will take place in the Regions mentioned above, the ICE has entrusted to Octagona (among the Italian excellences in providing international business services and present in India with 3 direct offices) The second module “Support Tools for Internationalization Processes in India”, which will take place on the following dates:

  • April 16 in Padua (at the headquarters of Assindustria Venetocentro, via E.P. Masini 2);
  • April 17 in Parma at the headquarters of the Union of Industrialists of Parma, Str. Ponte Caprazucca 6/a);
  • April 18 in Milan (at Assolombarda headquarters, Via Pantano 9).

The module that will illustrated by Alessandro Fichera (Managing Partner of Octagona) will cover the following points:

  • Entry Forms and Distribution Channels in India;
  • Promotional and advertising forms;
  • Product registration and labeling;
  • Indian Food Parks.
