ICE relied on Octagona for lectures on preparing a business plan

Starting internationalization and export activities abroad is becoming increasingly important, which is why you need a business plan. In the current economic environment, the’Made in Italy export goes through a decidedly positive phase and there is a growing hunger for Italian products in the world: for this very reason companies need to sell abroad and to find new formulas to be able to activate an export project.

Precisely with the aim of supporting companies in their export processes and accompany companies on a path of managerial growth, l’ICE (Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Enterprises) has initiated ICE Export Lab Sardinia, training course organized in cooperation with the Sardinia Autonomous Region, intended for a maximum of 50 small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, Consortia, Enterprise Networks and formally established ATIs. The Course, lasting 9 months and held in the Cagliari and Sassari locations, is divided into three phases: classroom training, shadowing and incubation abroad.

In this regard, ICE has entrusted Octagona (a company that has been operating for about 15 years in the’internationalization, accredited by the Ministry of Economic Development for the provision of Temporary Export Management services under the call launched by the same MISE) the teaching moduleBusiness Plan”: lectures were held on. June 23 and 24 in Cagliari, at the Headquarters of the International Fair of Sardinia - Palazzo dei Congressi (Via Armando Diaz 221).

Specifically, the lectures of Alexander Fichera, Senior Partner of Octagona, focused on the following topics:

  • Differences between internationalization and export;
  • The concepts and value that the company must convey to the customer before building a Business Plan;
  • Market selection: choice of variables and analysis model;
  • The Business Plan: Why is it needed? How to structure it?
  • Initiation of a practical case.
